This update introduces new features, resolves known issues, optimizes the application’s interface design, and enhances user experience and system performance.

Learning Section

PDF documents now support landscape mode reading and corresponding handwriting annotation features.
Cover images can now be retrieved for documents and books.
When the menu is collapsed, automatically generated page numbers follow the collapsed view.

Note: To enhance functionality and standardize document export sizes, the scope of handwriting annotations has been adjusted

Handwriting is now supported only within the document area; non-document areas no longer support handwriting.
Impact: After the update, handwriting annotations outside the document area will become read-only. Existing notes will be fully preserved and exportable, but new annotations cannot be added outside the document area.

Paper Section

A new set of pen tools has been added, allowing users to switch quickly between two pen types.

Meeting Section

Each AI command now supports the use of AI functions across multiple pages.

Daily Section

AI-powered event creation is now supported from Paper, Meeting, Picking, and Daily sections.
Long-pressing the event creation icon now supports AI voice-based event creation.
Added support for syncing recurring events from Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.

Viwoods Files

A new "My Files" module has been added for managing and storing local files in various formats (the original “My Files” module has been renamed “My Notes” refer to files from Viwoods native apps). This module supports data cable transfer, importing My Files into Viwoods native apps modules and the third-party cloud, and setting images in "My Files" as wallpapers.
“Shared” folders in cloud storage modules (OneDrive, Google Drive) are now visible.
A new auto-sync feature has been added, allowing users to flexibly schedule automatic backups for the required section files based on different time periods.

Note

To prevent data loss, syncing of note format files is enabled by default and cannot be disabled. PDF format syncing is optional.

Mailbox

Email list now supports date filtering.
A maximum of 1,000 emails can be displayed in a single list.

Quick Access Panel

A new global screenshot button has been added. Supports "four-finger swipe down" gesture to capture screenshots on any page, along with the option to set screenshots as wallpapers.
Support added for individually enabling/disabling the “Back,” “Home,” and “AI” physical buttons.

Handwriting Library

Art Pen: Thickness adjustment and detail optimization have been implemented, making it more suitable for writing small characters. The current thinnest setting corresponds to the new level 2 thickness.
Fountain Pen: Pressure sensitivity has been optimized to improve the writing experience.
Pencil: Enhanced line smoothness and improved transition of pressure and thickness for a writing experience closer to that of a real pencil.
Curves: Applied Bézier curve correction for smoother and more natural lines.

Input Method

Added support for Traditional Chinese input method.

Settings

User Center – New option to unbind devices.
General Settings – Added toggle for auto-correction during keyboard input.

Desktop

Daily section preview now includes a “Return to Today” button.

Transfer

Templates now support importing in JPG format.
File selection popup now supports search functionality.

Version 3.6

Even better than expected

Package was nicely packages and containers a complete bundle (tablet, cover and stylus) No moneygrab policy as with other brands. Big thumbs up. Ik love the form factor and use it almost daily. If i had to make a remark: responsiveness of the physical button may ben improved; sometimes i need to press twice to get a response (but dies not happen that often to become annoying). All in all big thanks from a satisfied customer!!

Disappointing experience with the pen

As an user with experience of other e-ink tablets, such as BOOX Tab Ultra C Pro and Kindle Scribe, I have to say that I have very high expectations of the Viwoods Aipaper.
For the first week, it certainly exceeded my expectations on various aspects, such as the system design, the overlay feature, the display quality, etc.

However, within less than 2 weeks and less than 500 words writing in English, the pen fails to write when I hold it at certain angle (see attached video). The supplier says it is just normal wears and tears and refuse to follow up.
Viwoods official says the pen is not covered by the warranty (isn't it amazing that the pen that comes with the package is not included in the warranty?) and likely to be my own problem.

Although it improves after i changed the pen nib, it implies that event the metal-cored nib cannot stand a medium to low level of writing within 2 weeks. Very disappointing.

As a tablet device with amazing writing features (no sacasm, i really love writing with it), the performance of the pen (nib i guess?) and the associated after sales support are really disappointing.

I heard Viwoods are very proud of their pen design. TBH, this is not something you should be proud of.

The best tablet I ever had

Absolutely stunning.

The perfect tool for writers, readers, and sketchers!

As an actor, stage manager, and bookworm, I am always running around with a script, notepad, and a book in my backpack wherever I go. And taking my laptop with me everywhere isn't exactly the most practical idea. So, I decided to get my first e-ink tablet.

When I bought my AIPaper a couple of weeks ago and started using it, I instantly felt that it has been just the tool I've needed for years. Whether it's editing or jotting down notes on my scripts during rehearsals, reading a few pages from my book during my break (without having to take the physical book with me) and annotating as I go along, researching, or simply doodling/sketching something in my spare time, this device has come in truly handy. And yes, it's as close to writing on actual paper as it gets, which I love!

With its sleek design, the Viwoods AIPaper is lightweight, easy to use, and distraction-free. And even in its simplicity, there are lots of very interesting features; my favourites being the different writing tools (pens, pencil, etc.), various paper templates, and AI integration. Battery life is also excellent.

Included in the price, you get a protective case, USB charging cable, and magnetic stylus (with 5 spare tips!), which is great!

As you can tell, I'm very happy with my decision to buy the product! I hope that Viwoods continue improving things and adding useful features with each new update.

Great for REAL Productivity

This unit does everything I hoped it would do. I now do all my planning on the AiPaper, as well as all of my digital reading and note taking. I've tried the AI features and they work surprisingly well. I've only scratched the surface so far, but when I have time I will go a bit deeper into it.

Build quality is great, it looks great and it is responsive.

This is my third e-ink tablet (SuperNote A5x and BOOX Tab C) and the AiPaper is the best of the bunch. SuperNote is too limited for me, and BOOX Tab C has a lot of features I don't need/want. ViWoods hits the sweet spot.

I have a Nordic keyboard connected with Bluetooth, However, I've found no way to make the AiPaper recognize that this is a Nordic keyboard, so I'm missing a lot of characters. This is a clear minus for me, because I'd like to write longer texts on the AiPaper using a keyboard. So, more language support would be desirable.

Finger print recognition is not great. 9/10 times it does not work for me. However, this is not a big deal. Would be cool if it worked though.
