Use Cases
Read, annotate, and explore ideas without the distractions of a traditional screen. Viwoods digital paper tablets are designed for focused reading and research, giving you a paper-like workspace for books, PDFs, articles, academic papers, and other documents. Read comfortably, mark important passages, add handwritten thoughts, and keep your notes connected to what you are reading. Whether you are studying a new subject, reviewing research papers, preparing for a project, or simply making time for deeper reading, Viwoods brings reading, annotation, and reflection together in one focused workspace.
Explore Features
Viwoods supports a range of reading formats, including EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW and AZW3, giving you more flexibility to keep books, research materials and documents in one reading workspace. EPUB reading has also received improvements to font compatibility, display controls and navigation over successive system updates.
Search within EPUB books, navigate through document outlines, and use improved bookmarks to return to important passages quickly. Viwoods has added in-book search for EPUB, persistent outline states, and a redesigned bookmark system with automatic or custom naming and clearer page positioning.
Highlight important passages and add handwritten annotations directly to your reading materials. Highlights can be saved to Reading Notes, while PDF and EPUB workflows make it easier to preserve, review and work with what you have marked.
Reading highlights and annotations can be saved into Reading Notes, while Viwoods' Knowledge Base and file-management tools provide additional ways to capture, organize and revisit information. Recent updates also allow clipped annotations to be used with AI Assistant and custom commands.
Preserve and reuse what you have learned with flexible export and sharing options. Viwoods supports exporting highlighted content from EPUB, exporting entire PDFs with highlighted sections, and exporting selected PDF pages while retaining highlights and annotations.
With Viwoods Cloud, selected books in Learning can sync reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and annotations across devices. You can also access your content on the web, while PDFs can be imported directly into Paper or Learning depending on whether you want to organize or read and annotate them.
Deep Reading
Ideas do not always arrive in a perfectly organized form. Viwoods gives you a paper-like space to write freely, sketch out thoughts, develop ideas, and turn handwritten notes into something you can revisit, organize, and build on. With a responsive digital writing experience, AI-assisted handwriting recognition, flexible note organization, and tools for capturing and transforming content, you can move naturally from a first thought to a clearer idea without interrupting the way you think. Whether you are journaling, brainstorming, drafting, taking personal notes, or developing ideas for work and study, Viwoods is designed to keep the act of writing natural while making your thoughts easier to manage, refine, and reuse.
Explore Features
Write with a paper-like digital experience using a range of pen types, adjustable thickness and pressure-sensitive tools. Handwriting has also been refined through smoother rendering and anti-aliasing, while Quick Note Focus helps reduce unnecessary interface elements when you want to concentrate on writing.
Convert handwritten notes into editable digital text when your ideas need to become searchable, shareable, or easier to work with. Viwoods also supports AI-assisted commands for selected content, allowing handwritten ideas to move into workflows such as rewriting, summarizing, translating, and refining. The handwriting-to-text capability has been expanded to additional languages, while AI commands can be used across Paper, Meeting, Daily, and Knowledge Base workflows.
Use Knowledge Base tools to capture and organize content beyond your handwritten pages. Picking evolved into Knowledge Base with dedicated PickNotes and VisualNotes, while annotation and crop workflows make it easier to capture selected content and turn images or references into organized material.
Organize handwritten notes and captured content with folders, tags, sorting, and flexible file management. Knowledge Base supports structured collections, while Paper allows notes to be moved, renamed, tagged, copied, duplicated, and reorganized as ideas develop.
Create document outlines, add sublevels, move pages between notebooks, and reorganize notes as your thinking develops. Document outlines can be managed directly from the sidebar, while deeper outline structures make long notes, projects, drafts, and study materials easier to navigate.
Go beyond capturing ideas by refining, summarizing, editing, and reusing your notes. AI commands can work with selected content, while notes and captured material can be exported, reorganized, or carried into other workflows when an idea needs to become a document, task, reference, or finished piece of work.

Keep your work organized without losing the flexibility of pen and paper. Viwoods digital paper tablets give you a focused workspace for meetings, planning, reviewing documents, managing tasks, and developing ideas throughout the workday. Write meeting notes by hand, capture important information, annotate PDFs and documents, turn handwritten thoughts into structured content, and keep tasks and reference materials close at hand. With flexible note organization, AI-assisted tools, voice recording and transcription, document outlines, and cross-device synchronization, Viwoods helps you move from capturing information to organizing it and turning it into something you can act on. Whether you are preparing for a meeting, reviewing a document, planning a project, or managing your daily work, Viwoods brings the familiarity of handwriting together with the structure of a digital workspace.
Explore Features
Record meetings for up to 60 minutes directly on your Viwoods device, then use AI to transcribe, polish, and summarize the recording. You can export the resulting content as TXT or PDF, making it easier to review key points, organize meeting information, and turn conversations into actionable notes. For work that involves frequent meetings, interviews, discussions, or voice-based idea capture, this provides a way to move from spoken information to structured digital content without having to take everything down manually.
Use the paper-like writing experience to capture meeting notes, ideas, plans, and working drafts by hand, then convert handwritten content into editable digital text when needed. AI Commands can help summarize, translate, polish, and transform content, with custom commands available across Paper, Meeting, Daily, and Knowledge Base. This allows handwritten information to remain natural at the point of capture while still being useful in later stages of editing, review, and digital workflows.
Turn handwritten notes into actionable tasks without leaving your working environment. Viwoods supports handwritten to-do items and allows selected tasks to be organized and managed as part of your notes. You can also use the lasso tool to select handwritten content and create to-do items, making it easier to move from meeting notes, project planning, or daily notes to concrete follow-up actions.
Review work documents, reports, proposals, and other PDFs directly on a focused digital paper workspace. You can highlight important information, add handwritten annotations, navigate documents using outlines and bookmarks, insert pages when needed, and export PDFs while retaining highlights and annotations. This makes Viwoods suitable for document-heavy workflows where reading, marking up, and revisiting information are closely connected.
Organize working information as projects and ideas develop rather than leaving everything as isolated pages. Viwoods provides folders, tags, document outlines, notebook organization, page management, and flexible options to move, rename, copy, duplicate, or reorganize content. Outlines are particularly useful for longer meeting records, project documents, research notes, drafts, and other work that needs a clear hierarchy and structure.
Keep important work accessible beyond a single device with Viwoods Cloud and supported file-sharing workflows. Notes, meetings, Knowledge Base content, and other information can be synchronized across devices, while files can be exported, shared, imported, or moved between folders and supported cloud services such as Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. This makes it easier to capture information on one device and continue reviewing, organizing, or using it elsewhere.
Deep Reading
Create a focused space for learning, from taking notes and reviewing course materials to organizing ideas and preparing for what comes next. Viwoods digital paper tablets combine the familiarity of handwriting with tools for reading, annotation, note organization, and AI-assisted learning, making it easier to capture information without the distractions of a traditional screen. Write lecture notes by hand, annotate textbooks and PDFs, organize study materials, look up unfamiliar words, and turn scattered notes into clearer summaries and structured knowledge. Whether you are attending classes, studying independently, preparing for exams, learning a new subject, or working through complex material, Viwoods helps bring reading, writing, reflection, and review into one focused learning workspace.
Explore Features
Viwoods gives you a natural space to take lecture notes, summarize lessons, work through problems, and capture ideas by hand. As your notes grow, you can organize them with folders, notebooks, tags, and flexible page management, including moving, renaming, copying, duplicating, and reorganizing content. This makes it easier to keep notes from different subjects or study sessions structured and ready for review.
Read and work directly on digital textbooks, lecture materials, academic papers, and other PDFs. You can highlight important passages, add handwritten annotations, navigate longer documents with outlines and bookmarks, and export PDFs while retaining highlights and annotations. This keeps reading, marking important information, and taking study notes within the same focused workspace.
Handwritten notes can be converted into editable digital text when you need to search, revise, summarize, or reuse them. AI Commands can help process learning materials through tasks such as summarization, translation, and text polishing, with custom AI commands available across Paper, Meeting, Daily, and Knowledge Base. This lets you keep handwriting as the natural starting point while making your study materials easier to process digitally.
When learning a language or working with unfamiliar academic terminology, you can select text and use dictionary and translation tools without leaving the reading experience. Translation supports different levels of text, from individual characters and words to sentences and paragraphs, helping you quickly understand unfamiliar content and continue studying without unnecessary interruptions.
Knowledge Base and related capture tools allow you to save useful information from your notes and other content into a dedicated space for future reference. You can organize materials with folders and tags, making it easier to collect information over time rather than keeping each study session isolated. This is particularly useful when learning a subject continuously and gradually building a personal collection of knowledge.
Study often continues beyond a single session or device. You can create handwritten to-do items for assignments, revision plans, or follow-up work, while Viwoods Cloud keeps supported notes and learning content synchronized. Reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and annotations can also be carried across devices, allowing you to continue studying and reviewing from where you left off.
